Discover the wonderful sculptural possibilities of recycled tin and how you can combine it with other materials in my half-day Tin Works classes.

In this half-day class you will learn how to prepare and cut the tin; how to embellish it using hand-stitching and other forms of decoration; and cold fixing techniques such as pop riveting as you make your own folk art bird or heart. There will be plenty of examples to help get you started plus templates and reference books. All materials will be supplied but you are welcome to bring along any tins or decorative objects you’d like to use.

Suitable for beginners as well as those with some metalwork experience who’d like to explore working with tin.

Classes are limited to one or two people and are available on various days during the week and at weekends at 10-1 and 2-5. They will take place in my workshop in Newburgh in North Fife.

Cost: £30 for a one-to-one session and £25 each for two participants. Includes tea and coffee and biscuits.
